Do you ever just come across an app and feel like this would be an instant hit at Hacker News? Something ridiculously simple yet uniquely well executed? I just came across an app like that called VoiceNotes.com.
What’s it about:
A quick intro on the app would be like a personal IM box that allows you to take voice notes and:
- Chat with it
- Create summaries
- Turn it into long form blog posts
- Craft tweets from it
What sets the app apart? The design. The app, with its simplicity and no-hassle approach invites anyone visiting it to try it out and start recording voice notes. It doesn’t even require a signup to begin. Although, shortly after using it, it’ll be near impossible not to.

That’s it, y’all. That’s the entire user interface in the first visit. No crazy menus, footer rabbit hole to get stuck in, no colour storms for one to activate a ton of visual senses.

The App Interface
Now respecting my privacy just like this amazingly simple yet powerful app does, I will show you a few staged set of quick demo screenshots instead of my actual voice notes:

A few notes from my actual usage of VoiceNotes.com
- The search is blazing fast and that according to me is the USP of the app right after the robust design.
- If you name your folks once, the app never gets their name wrong, anytime you speak it. My wife and I have a thing where we don’t like people misspelling our name so this is as beautiful as it gets.
- There are over 50 languages you can speak in however I have only tried it in English.
- Select the correct AI summary type for best results.
- Options range from tweet, email, blog post etc.
This app is built by some amazing entrepreneurs, but I also write about Solo founder built AI tools here, if you’re interested.
